Word Warp - A Word Puzzle Game App Reviews

Ive enjoyed this game for a very, very long time. One of the first apps I tried when I got my first iPhone YEARS ago. However, Im getting very annoyed with ads that pop up and you have to close the app, and restart. I was fine with the ads that had the option to countdown, close and continue playing. I even picked up a few apps that I liked from the ads before...but I refuse to obtain or consider any of the ad apps that make me completely shut down the app Im using and reopen to continue playing. I also will get rid of the this app I to avoid this nuisance. The other annoying problem is including words that havent been used since the Middle Ages...words that are obscure, antediluvian, archaic, or are just not commonly utilized language. Also doesnt let you use common English, (i.e. Soothe). App developer: get a normal dictionary & fix these irritations. Please dont ruin a good thing.

Hate the video ads that starts on its own without giving me a choice to play it. The sound would catch me by surprise and in a setting thats not ok to have sound.

I find myself making words from street signs now. I feel like such a loser!

Love this game and its free!! Thats the best part plus Ive been playing word games for years and its stumped me quite a few times but I just keep on playing and learning new words!!!

This game would be great if they actually used all the words available. They dont, they pick and choose which ones they will use and use words that arent even in the dictionary! i.e. Ade is not a real word!! Only comes at the end of words!!! Lemonade. Piss poor planning in this one!

The ads are suddenly awful. The exit button takes forever to pop up, then theres two ads in a row. I dont mind ads on a free game, but theyre incredibly annoying on this app; worse than any other app Ive ever downloaded. Sometimes I have to shut down the game completely just to get past ads with no way of getting past them.

This game was one of my mainstays; I loved it. But Recently the ads changed so that I have to exit the game and restart after every level because the ads dont go away. If this doesnt get fixed, I will be deleting because its not worth diddly anymore

Ive played the game a long time, Ive enjoyed it. New ads will not go away and the X button to close them lasts half a second and does not work! Really annoying. Show your ads but allow the user to opt out after 5 seconds.

This game is challenging enough to be interesting but not so hard that you get frustrated. If you read the words you miss each time you can get better overtime.

Id like to be able to rearrange letters without having to delete them first.

Great game. I put up with the ads. Limited vocabulary though. Some words that play seem to be nonsense and words that are genuine arent accepted. Overall I am pleased.

Great app good functionality an interesting.

Ive had this game on my iPad for years. Its fun to play, but now we have to click twice to close pop ups that are popping up every 3 or so played games. I guess the developer gets more $$$ from the many annoying and repetitive ads than if they allowed us to purchase. I would love to pay to get rid of this crap.

My only suggestion for the next update would be to incorporate a good English dictionary. A lot of common words are not found and its frustrating.

The strength of a word game is measured in its vocabulary, which means this game is a c-minus. It uses extremely archaic words from the Middle Ages, but doesnt recognize simple everyday words that can be found in any dictionary, which can make it frustrating. And the ads are intrusive.

Its my go to game right now.

Wordwarp can be frustrating at times, but it does everything you can hope for from a game of this sort, and does it well!

Thought this was a British app after just a few games, very outdated words from old English. Also recognizes a few animals, misses many more. Definitely short on American English words. This app is fun and entertaining, but needs a revision of its dictionary to be truly reflective of modern English.
